In October 2003 the X1 is finally unveiled to an unsuspecting public. Sam Torrance (who had just captained Europe to Ryder Cup victory) signed up to promote the brand and an amazing amount of editorial coverage followed in national magazines and newspapers. Stewart Golf had arrived.

As initial sales numbers exceeded all expectations, a waiting list of up to 10 weeks quickly developed for the X1. The X1 Remote was by far the most popular, accounting for over 90% of sales.

The unique character of the X1R took it a long way in short time. Very soon it was stocked in Harrods and sold all over Europe, then all over the world. Magazines tested the X1R and it received reviews time and time again.

In 2006 the X1 was replaced by the X3. The quest for perfection meant that a number of improvements were made to the product, and the price was also reduced to £999 to allow more people the chance to experience golfing luxury.
